I am not the most outgoing person in the world, nor am I the shyest. I have never performed in front of a crowd, eaten tuna, or seen a person laugh in sign language. I may never learn how to become a good speller, nor grow to love cats. I doubt I will ever read a whole book in one night but I hope I meet someone who will.
My name is Dawn L and I’m fourteen years old. I may have just started high school, but I already have some goals I expect to accomplish within the next four years. First, I want to try my best in all of my classes and get a 3.5 GPA or higher. I want to maintain good grades so I can get in to a good college after I graduate. Also, I wish to learn a new language like French or Sign Language. I plan on taking either of those classes at Ventura College to challenge myself. Then, I look forward to getting my license and a car within the next couple of years before high school ends. In order to do that, I will also have to get some sort of a job to pay for my gas and insurance. Next, my athletic goal is to go to Mavericks as often as possible so I can stay in shape while I'm in school. I might try out for a sport but I’m still not sure which one would be right for me.
Lastly, my main high school goal is to make lots of new friends but not let any of my old ones go. I’m putting lots of effort into keeping in touch with my friends that I don’t get to see every day who go to different high schools. In addition, I anticipate improving my relationship with my sister now that we go to school together. I hope my high school career goes as successful as planned.
